Popular Post Crimea River
Evening all! Herewith, the poorly lit final pics of my 1/48 Mosquito FB. VI finished as "Hairless Joe", W/C Russ Bannock's mount with 418 Squadron RCAF in late 1944. My W.I.P thread can be found here and it contains all of the details behind the many scratch-built parts and unique features of this particular scheme: I'd like to thank everyone who followed along and who offered help and expertise with my build. It was most enjoyable! 78
Spitfire31
Oh, wow – that is pure poetry in 3D! What a wonderful Mossie. That subtle weathering of the edges of removable panels, that windscreen wiper, those subtly displaced control surfaces… Pure, inspiring poetry. Kind regards, Joachim 4

Baldy
Lovely Mossie! I too like the nicely done wear on the edges of the metal panels and generally convincing wear and tear. Cheers Malcolm
Redstaff
Very nicely done Nice subtle weathering and detailing I've got the bomber version in the stash to build at some point and I'd be happy if it was half as good as yours Ian
RadMax8
Fantastic finish on this one, your scratch-built details have made a world of difference. Your photos show just how crisp and tidy your work is. My photos show all my mistakes. Thanks for sharing this lovely build.

Work In Progress
This is great work and has pushed me to go all the way through the WIP which is tremendously enjoyable. I particularly liked your interior and the canopy detailing work. Very fine indeed. Edited February 3, 2020 by Work In Progress

Biggu
Excellent job Andy, IF I can get to Nanton, I would hope to see it at the model show, I am hopeful but there are a few family issues at the moment, BUT I do hope to see this for real and up close, a beautiful build, Russ would have been proud of this one ! Like Richard says...... Take a Hero cookie............ excellent, I love it ! Jeff
Crimea River
Thanks Jeff, great to hear from you. I think the next show is in Edmonton and I don't think I'll make it there. We'll see.

Crimea River
I think so Chris. The Western Canadian alternates between Edmonton and Nanton and in the past it's been at the aviation museum. Their website, as usual, is out of date.
