TORNADO ECR 1/48: Plastic / source model: REVELL. Accessories: extended photo-etch set, mask set, Brassin set of the seats and wheels. Decal sheet for 8-10 aircraft. The kit will focus on the Tornadoes ECR in the Bundesluftwaffe and Bundesmarine service. (intended for December release but that and the price may change)

hmmmm lets see if this will really be an ECR only release... the Marineflieger did not use the ECR if I remember correctly....

maybe HARM equipped Tornados are meant instead!

in theory we could see very colorful schemes.... fingers crossed for a good boxing!

Almost £80.- :gobsmacked:

Better start savings some right now then.....

Just looked on the Hannants site £103.99, less 10% if pre ordered (£93.59 but still need to add P&P as less than £100!)

Just the ECR? Dang it, we're so close to get some nice Norm-83 decals for a bog standard IDS but it still stumbles on the finishing line.

But a fancy Marineflieger in Norm-87 would be nice too!

Price looks steep right now, but we do no know that it will be in the end. Desert Babe wasn't that expensive....

Weird., If I go to Hannats site via the link above I see £103,99 as you said, but if I refresh the page it shows the lower price of £77,99 ?

So perhaps it will drop ever futher if I refresh the page a few time more. :D

I was looking to see what the five marking schemes are included in this boxing and it appears they've gone with at least four of the rather elaborate schemes that we've seen on Luftwaffe Tornados.

I found this info on Eduard's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/EduardCompany Sorry I can't embed it or something more fancy. The text along with two aircraft photos is;

German Tigers and Red Monster anybody?

For finalizing decals of our January release we are looking for photos of some details of following Tornado ECRs:

46+23 (50 years JaBoG 32)

46+44 (see the photo by Rob Schleiffert)

46+31 (red monster)

46+57 (see the photo by Steven Bytes)

If you have high resolution photos and you are willing to help, please contact us via our Facebook page. ASAP! Thanks!

Cool schemes, but if only a few boring old line birds had been offered too. Thinking Norm '83 (until someone says that there were never any ECRs in Norm '83)

Dare one hope that the Norm-83 Scheme actually has separate stencils?

Also notice that they're bringing out a TSMPJ in the Brassin range at the same time. Very nice!

it existed! I thought all ERCs were grey, or 2-tone grey maximum...

I want this Tiger one!

All ECR´s delivered in Norm 83 scheme (JaboG 32 & 38)

JaboG 32 ECR´s repainted in a temporary (removable) single grey scheme for yugoslavia war (Einsatzgeschwader 1) They use a mixture of two RAL colors. You can identify this scheme on pictures very easy, the canopy frame and the rescue markings were masked and remained the old Norm 83 scheme.

After it was clear they have to stay longer at Piacenza Norm 95 was introduced. There is a early and a late camouflage scheme of Norm 95. Both have the same 3 FS colors.

The last  scheme is the single grey one, same as Eurofighter painted in FS 35237.

More than the subject itself is the fact that Revell abstains from releasing its own variant as the first party. A signal that does not make to much hope.

Yes, there are surely countless attractive boxings that could be released using these moulds, so it is a bit disappointing that Revell haven't gone to town in a way similar to how Kinetic have with their Starfighters. I wonder how it can make economic sense to Kinetic, but not Revell.

So we have essentially stock Revell's Tornado IDS, without 50% of things that make ECR, for 2,5x price, great!..mean really, really issuing ECR box without including AGM-88 and its whole system, this is really pushing it, and Darwin's award to Revell for not being able to produce one sprue for ECR version, but again 80€ for IDS kit pretending to be ECR🙃

Them the things that used to drop those nasty spidery like mines? The dummy versions will provide some nicely vibrant coloured additions to my GR.1 prototype I'm planning to build alongside my new and improved F.2.

Yes they're the ones.
