Just don't try that on your teeth!

I was going to say make sure there is a responsible adult present but then I asked myself "where are we going to get one of them from on Britmodeller?". So just carry on regardless.

That might depend on whether I was in or not.

Are you implying that I am a responsible adult? I sincerely hope not!

Shocked of Mars 👽

PS: I could see how the ones on my Bliveldere scrub up.

Well I do consider that wives will be satisfied here, no trace of adult-ery available from any of us

Phew

Anyway this lock - in has given me a taste for modelling with youtube, not so I can follow the remarkable model builds I have been steered towards but to act as a sound track of music that I have oftentimes heard but not really been intensely interested in

I have always loved the Roderigo Concierto de Aranjuez and found that Youtube gives me free music to enjoy in jail

I put on the Concierto and next thing I knew was a link to Pete Postlethwaite and Brassed Off

Not a film I had ever seen but wow, bl**dy good doesn't get even close

Their Concierto d'orangejuice is amazing

Ever since I got that link the tube has been on all day behind my feeble endeavours, seeing off Clapton, Knopfler and Wilburys today

In the meantime this has occurred

The wing fillets need reshaping but the actual wings are now in place

Look a Bilvedere from astern

P1010493.jpg

Much reshaping is called for now as is doing more up front

P1010494.jpg

All looks a bit crude but has opened the way to fixment of wheels and engines after filletting the fillets

Off to watch Netflix now, Ozark is strangely attractive with all its 'orrible characters

Perfect taste Bill, me too :)

Brassed Off - a great film with the lovely Tara. It's on telly on Wednesday too, 21:00 on Film4.

I dont get earworms much because I let the Concierto play in my head instead

I never felt drawn to the movie but after finding that clip it has become a " must record" on Sky Q

I dont expect Gwyn will want to watch it with me so it'll be little red light on time.

Thanks for the heads up

Definitely looking like a Bilvedere now.

Thanks for the ‘ heads up ‘ on  Brassed Off Ced, I’ll record that and watch it when SWMBO is not around ( not that much at the moment ) because she doesn’t understand the humour from ‘ oop North ‘.

talcum powder

I remember my Mum being a little upset when she found where her Yardley “Lily of the Valley” talc was going. It made the models smell funny too...

Nice going on the Belvedere too - that tail wing is quite a change from the prototype.

Ah what a mistaka-to-maka Adrian, mom wouldn't like that

I use, with permission because no babies to treat, Johnson and Johnson Best baby powder

(Grandchildren far too large to need their botties dusted with powder and would rightly hammer me if I even tried) :)

But I do keep meaning to locate a packet of flour to bring upstairs for supplies, ready use.

Tonight I have been playing with dried out Milliput and some needle files, this looks ready for a disclosure coat of colour and further fettling as required, maybe put the support struts on first

P1010495.jpg

Trailing edge straightening is on the cards too  :)

From the front

P1010496.jpg

And from Hendie's favourite angle

P1010497.jpg

Lots of scope for flour and stupogoo there no?

I may give a light mist of Halford's yellow hi-build primer in the morning

Nice work on the tail, looks so much better than what you started with as does the rest of the model.

Is it me or does the last pic: above look like something from the Star Wars/Star Trek films?

   Stay safe         Roger

Are we talking life or intelligent life? Haven’t they found some evidence of microbial presence?

Ok googled it: no but they did find methane which might be the result of biological processes. Makes total sense to me.
