Vorrei ma il mio italiano è cattivo come il cricket di Ced!

If you believe that...

;)

But I get the gist

If we needed proof that Ced hasn't been himself these days we just got it

I have been busy in the office

P1010456.jpg

Straps from the Airwaves Whirlwind set, but badly let down in macro by the crap paint I need to use, still needs must

Controls in so far from left to right

Co-pilot's collective, pilot's collective with extra switch wiring (not on port side for some reason) and right is auxiliary (emergency?) hydraulics pump handle

At the front I see that there are some pieces of the pedal pivots still requiring a tad of paint

Next is the overhead control panel with added switchery and gaugerising from the fabulous Re-heat switches set

(please somebody start re or not re-producing these wonderful detailing assistants again)

P1010457.jpg

Dry brushing will bring out the bling next, they really do add proper dimension to the panels

You will see

I decided to go with the controls as in service and hence have added to lower ip floor to the bubble

P1010458.jpg

Which leaves me adding next the ip and coaming

P1010460.jpg

P1010461.jpg

And a gratuitous shot from outside, through a forest of Tamiya tape

Remember if you will that this image comes to you courtesy of zoom magnification

My eyes don't look anywhere near this closely

P1010462.jpg

And anything you see that is not yellow will be grey over a black initial spraying to colour the interior

(if it is yellow now I hope desperately that it will be clear after treatment)  ;)

Baldrick's found a novel way of amusing himself with woodlice...

Sounds positively disgusting, shouldn't you call the RSPCA?

I dont think you need worry Martian, woodlice will eventually consume anything including the unmentionable Baldrick if he sits still long enough

You could do a lot worse, the Mem's taken to home-baking with a vengeance,

We are luckier here. Fortunately, one of Mrs Martian's Teddy Bears, Snuggle Bear, is a star baker and we have just been enjoying chocolate eclairs and have Victoria Sponge to look forward to later.

Edit: Both the eclairs and sponge were delicious. Snuggle says he can take orders but is unsure about how the postage and packing would work out.

Well Bill it appears you have adapted well to the current lockdown and working at home requirements. Your output is efficient and of high quality.

PS the belts look great, I don't see any issues with the paint.

Reference my point above, anything magnified always looks worse than it actually is, though I always say you can't beat a good wet shave...

I think it's a cricket reference. Nobody in the U.S. understands cricket, but if it were baseball, he might be saying "It's a high fly ball into center field." Or something like that.

Yes they're the little beauties

I managed to pick that up by good luck on the bay

I keep looking for more but they etched them out of hen's teeth brass

I have two, that were destined for the bay...

I've never been a fan of etch, very rarely use it - don't know where, when or why I acquired those sets...

I'll be happy to dispose of them for you.

I'm afraid I've actually already offered them to Bill, as he'd previously offered to cast some Sea King sponsons for me...

I have one set already, but am always looking for more. Doesn't Hannant's own the rights to these? Maybe we should lobby for a re-release. I've even thought about trying to cast them in resin (for my own use, not for re-sale).

All this talk of playing with toys, electrical appliances and vacuum pumps has got me all misty eyed, reminiscing on the good old days back at Cambridge...

Cold shower for the General methinks!

What's to be confused about Guys? Gill's bear made us chocolate eclairs and Victoria sponge, we ate them and they were scrummy. Snuggle says he would take orders but is unsure how to get them to you in one piece.

Keep taking the meds mate! You'll be fine, really!

If it's beer, @corsaircorp might be interested as well!
