OutcastJoel
This is a 1/72 Eduard Kit and I loved it, this is such a good kit. As well as being my first spit, it as also my first finished aeroplane kit as an adult and I am dead chuffed with how it came out! Here it is! 20200125_142813_Film2 by OutcastJoel, on Flickr 20200125_142803_Film2 by OutcastJoel, on Flickr 20200125_142835_Film2 by OutcastJoel, on Flickr 20200125_142926_Film2 by OutcastJoel, on Flickr Edited January 26, 2020 by OutcastJoel 40

BZ to you 😃 PS what colour is that ? The top is supposed to be light sky grey and the bottom, Eduard suggest a 50/50 light grey and PRU blue. I used Vallejo light grey and missunderstanding PRU blue I used 50/50 light grey and Prussian Blue on the bottom, but i think it looks ok.

Learstang
Is that a HF.VIII? Very nice - one of my favourite Spitfire variants. Regards, Jason
Graham Boak
Hi Jason. With that serial it is just an F.Mk.VIII, HFs being rare because the Merlin 61/63 were already good performers there. I think that there were a few with Merlin 70s later down the line. The extended wingtips were normal for early Mk.VIII production, often removed in service because they overstressed the wing roots when the fighter got involved in lower-level combats. The colour scheme was specifically for the HF Role, being officially Medium Sea Grey over PRU Blue.
