I'm trying to find a tread the right thickness for rope to make the camo look tied on.

If you have anywhere near you that specialises in model boats, they should have some thread which is used for rigging. It's what I use. It's a bit hairy, but if you run it through some PVA glue, the hairs will lie down. John.

I got some nice leather working tread which should do the trick. But thanks for the help

It's used for stitching leather.
Jasper dog
Looking really good, great paintwork and the camo net looks the part. Particularly like the figures. Looking forward to seeing this come together. Cheers Darryl
Red Five
Quick update. Got a base done. Pretty basic but hopefully it kind of sets the scene. Got about 2/3of one track done. Using the metal option for the first time they look superb but take time and it's a boring job so waiting until a slow night where I can do them.
Soeren
The scene looks great. The paint job is a bit artistic here and there, but it still looks great.

End of the day other than a few hours it's at a show I have to look at it plus it's more enjoyable taking a few liberty's here and there. Also my phone camera does some weird HDR thing and makes everything look OTT too. Things like the rust and chips are far more subdued in the flesh. Jasper dog
That is looking superb, the base, IMO, is tremendous. Suspect the chap on the engine deck is probably looking for any sign of his tracks being delivered! Cheers 1

Thanks for the feedback. I'm leaving it up to the viewer as to what hes looking at. polybebber
I'm not into AFV, but this build caught my attention since it's too good to be left unnoticed. Everything in this set up looks just perfect, not overdone, just right. You've triggered a desire I'm afraid........ Anyways, hats off!!!! Not as detailed as I hoped. Not sure how much more you could put on, perhaps an 88 packing case or paint a shell case or two to represent a parkerised steel one. Otherwise, short of examining a few period photos, I'd say that looks darn good to me. Do like your figure painting too. Looking forward to your next one
Redcoat2966
Nice, now with the tracks on. I know what you mean with leaving them until last.....they can be a chore......the base is a treat, really go together. Nice job all round. Cheers Simon.
Bullbasket
Tank - excellent. Figures - first class. Ergo, nothing wrong with any of it. Nice one. John.
