Marlin
Hi. I'm competing against the clock to finish my Draken. I still got some work that has to be done. I've got the exhaust in place. 394 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The tips of "Apparat 15" got some black paint. 395 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And I filled the windows for the cameras with Kristal Kleer. 396 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Today I have to get the undercarriage and the droptanks in place if I want to finish this in time. To be continued..... /Bosse

Marlin
Hi, and thanks Rich. I promise you no BBQ until it's done. And since I live in a flat that an easy promise to make. Can't have a BBQ on the balcony... I've been stressing on with the Draken. I got the main gears ready. 410 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The ejection seat got some PE belts 411 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 412 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr It took some time to get the belts in order. I have to the RAT in place. 413 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The I glued the belly drop tanks in place. 414 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Followed by the main gears. 415 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the the wing drop tanks. 416 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And there I stand today. I've got the nose gear and covers and some other small bits to do this evening. That'll give me Thursdag evening to finish her off. So if nothing unanticipated happens on the way home from work today I guess I'll have this one finished and in the Gallery by Friday. To be continued..... /Bosse
reini
It's pretty close - but you got few more days still so no problem Great looking Draken, should look real nice next to your other Swedish subjects.
trickyrich
I think you should be fine Bosse judging by where you look to be now. I know the last bits always take the most time but you should be fine.

Marlin
Hi, and welcome to the penultimate update. And with this said you'll understand that I didn't manage to finish the Draken yesterday evening. I got the spur wheels in place. 417 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the nose gear. 418 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr On her own legs for the first time. 419 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I had to add some more small fishing weights to the nose to get her to stand on the nose wheel. I think was becaused I used the resin tanks on the wings, instead of under the belly. But the problem was easy solved. The I glued the fin pitot tube. 420 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And now I see that I'll have to sand some excess CA glue before I paint it up. I've added the seat to the cockpit. 421 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the sharp eyed can see that I've missed to glue the sight to the IP coaming. Thats the main reason I didn't finish her yesterday. I also glued the nose pitot tube in place. 422 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And with that I only have to paint the pitots and glue the canopy in place. And that shouldn't be any problem for Sunday afternoon when we are home from the cottage again. BBQ time awaits.... 🍷 To be continued..... /Bosse 3

Marlin
Hi. Another great weekend was spent i the cottage. We've got the new sofas together. Anne, Axel and I all pulled together and finshed them last Friday evening. 423 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr We had great weather on Saturday, with some gardening done and a coffee and croisant in the sun. 424 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I prepared the afternoon BBQ Marinated mushrooms and flank steak, with was dry rubbed. 425 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 426 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 427 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr A nice glass of wine and a good book outside on the terrace was nice. 428 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Time to light up the grill. 429 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And a small glass of Calvados while I waited on the right temperature in the grill. 430 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And after a while we had a great and taisty meal. 431 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Unfortunately the sun disappeared behind some clouds and it became to cold to sit outside. Some dessert. 432 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr with a refil. 433 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And Anne has changed the bedlinnen so we had nice a clean sheets to sleep in 434 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Does it show that we're fond of the Minions. The came Sunday, and the last day of the GB, and I did have doubts if I really was going to be able to finish four aircrafts in four months. But i did. I finished the Draken when we came home from the cottage. The sight and front screen was glued with Gator Glue. 435 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Then the canopy. 436 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And with that the Draken is done. 437 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 438 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 439 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 440 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr In place in the display cabinet. 441 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Together with my three other entries in this GB. Tillsammans med de andra tre från detta gruppbygge. 442 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr So I did manage to get all four done in time. Thanks to Rich and Col for a fantastic GB, and see you next time. /Bosse
