It doesn't seem that the kit has the extended wing tips.

Oops if they are omitted. I recall fifty years ago taking the old Revell 1/32 kit and for my first time not doing a model OOB and adding the wing tips and a refuelling probe from spruce and plastic card and being pleased as Punch.

I imagine it would not be too difficult to fabricate them in 1/72

Just looking at those sprue shots on the Italeri web page:

https://www.italeri.com/en/product/2854

The clear parts appear to be those of a Sea Harrier, not a GR1/GR3.

In fact, all three latest releases 1435,1410 & 1401 all show the incorrect canopy.

1278 & 1329 show the correct canopies.

It remains to be seen as to what's in the box.

I've checked my model (1435) and it has a different clear sprue to that at top above.  Mr sprue is same as second pic.  Canopy has no MDC

Gee! Thanks, Italeri! I never knew early RAF Harriers were white underneath instead of Light Aircraft Grey! Consider me enlightened!

I'd be checking other references as I'm almost certain that the undersurfaces were definitely LAG and not white. I stand to be corrected of course.

They were, I was being sarcastic.

Italeri - the company that claims Luftwaffe fighters are FS36375 underneath! 😎

Cheers,

Andre

Sorry Andre, I didn't pick up on that.....................................I'll put it down to me feeling under the weather due to a nasty bout of man-flu.

It's just Italeri keeping us on our toes.

Mind you, it would look quite fetching with white undersides!

Cheers,

Chris.
