Booty003
Another started way back last year and finished earlier this week. EB-66 Destroyer, 42nd TEWS, 388th TFW, Korat RTAFB, 1973 Italeri mould, airbrushed freehand with Tamiya acrylics, Flory wash and Xtracrylix flat varnish. Builds into a cracking sized model, was difficult to photograph especially in lousy light (have tried different settings on some frames). Has great presence on the shelf. Size comparison with die-cast 1/72 F-4 Phantom: And with a Trumpy 1/72 F-105G: Cheers gang, Phil 63

Doc72
Great looking Destroyer! Good job with the free-hand camouflage. Does the kit come with engraved panel lines? BTW: The photos illustrate well how the color depends on the light conditions.

Rabbit Leader
This has really turned out lovely and is a subject that I should seriously consider pulling out of my stash and building. Very Inspirational stuff! Cheers and well modelled .. Dave

Dennis_C
Very nice build! And special thank you for comparison photos! Now I know for sure I should think three times before buying this kit
Booty003
Cheers guys. The kit does have engraved panel lines - some are quite shallow though and need re-scribing. The belly looks as though there has been some mould damage that was badly repaired as this took a huge effort and lots of filler to look right again. I might have a few non-Nam builds on the go or in the stash Stu but not many...!! Decals were a mix of the kit supplied and the newer release of the same kit which included the No Step markings. Mark Joyce
Wonderful build! The free-hand camo scheme is first-rate and the subtle weathering is nicely done. The lighting in your photos looks fine to me. Cheers, Mark

72modeler
Oh, my! Gorgeous Destroyer! The best build of the Italeri kit that I can recall! Interesting size comparisons, too, especially with the Thud- half as big, twice as fast, and three times the bomb load!
