The British Way...1/48 Sherman Firefly IC

Recommended Posts

Reini78 this looks to be an interesting model kit, and a lower metal hull is a bonus..

Fireflies were most probably repainted in SCC15.  They met the "major conversion" criterion for repainting and there would not have been OD paint available to repaint the modified parts.

Is it just me or do those bogey wheels look like they are hovering over the tracks??

It looks like the tracks are so taut between the first and last bogey that there isn’t enough weight as yet in the hull for the middle set to touch the tracks.

Excellent work though so far. 👍

Mike.

You are seeing right. It´s due to the metal hull which has locating pins for the suspension parts to attach. Seems they are slightly out of the right angle and/or height. With using CA glue for the metal-plastic connection you don´t really have a chance to correct it like with plastic glue.

Very Nice. Looks quite realistic.

What is the size. At 1/48 it must be quite small.
