BLACKCODE Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 (edited) Hello Here’s my present project : th Su 100. By Dragon in 1/35 scale First I had to gather data and blueprints concerning the beast. I found a couple of well documented websites. where these plans are availible : http://armchairgeneral.com/rkkaww2//galleries/SP_guns/SU_100_bp.htm http://armchairgeneral.com/rkkaww2/galleries/SP_guns/SU_100_int.htm And a 3D interior représentation https://3docean.net/item/su-100-with-interior-camo/15656562 Here’s the true model i want to do This picture was taken from "The Battle of Algiers" movie (circa. 1970) from the realisator Di Pontecorvo but i xill change the french flag for the algerian one this tank was used for the movie and The camouflage was likely the same as the syrian armours and this only from 1963 to 1967. Algerian Su-100 were brought from USSR in 1963 (60 units) with t-34/85 (150 units) The model : Like I said in the title of this project it's a Su-100 from Dragon in 1/35 scale. An average of 450 pieces, not bad.. A little PE plate, and very good details Well i think you all got the main idea of my project : building the interior an presenting the tank with all doors open … I started with the easiest works…. The rear panel. completed with plasti card. I added details using scratch parts built with a 0.25 mm aluminium foil. Then i completed the rear panel .. made a100 ammunition (i will use a mould to have a dozen or more of copies) and I’m thinking about iputing inside a lighting system. The driverside is almost done Honestly there’s is a lack of accuracy and a lot of mistakes comparing to the real one.. but i think it’s better to present a model with a fully equiped interior instead « an empty cane » (in my opinion) That’s all for today. Edited January 18, 2020 by BLACKCODE a lot of corrections (sorry) 9

FrancisGL Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Hi Blackcode, a very curious project, despite the errors in precision that you comment, the work done is very meritorious and detailed, I do not know what will be seen later when it is finished, but it seems to me that they will not be noticed ...🍿 Cheers mate 👍 1

FrancisGL Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 Hi mate, The work done so far looks really convincing, nobody would say that it is not accurate with reality ... When it is peppery and weathered, it will look even more authentic ...🍿 Cheers 1

Bullbasket Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 You are an excellent model maker. That radio and the ammo rack are little models in their own right. Well done. John. 1
Vaastav Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 That is some level of detail. This build is turning out to be a major learning experience as well. 1

Agriamodeling Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Hi Blackcode, amazing details and I am pretty happy to see your awareness to all as I will build a T-24/85 model with imterior later this year hopefully. I have one very minor comment as the radio set is R113 in English (and many European languages) not P113. The written russian P letter sounds R. But again, this is basically offtopic compared to your work. Wish you good fun in the building. Tamás 1

BLACKCODE Posted February 9, 2020 Author Posted February 9, 2020 (edited) hello my friends, work on su-100 is slowing down a little bit this week, sorry, because i was busy by ordering a lot (really a lot !) of model armor, guns and automotive howitzers (20+) all in 1/35th scale and exclusively used by algerian army , upgrade kits , working tracks ect. i took a lot of time for choosing the right or the best model for the best price (some are the most expensive LOL). i ordered a lot of trumpeters , 3 or 4 mengs, tiger models etx .. eduards pe.. ammunitions ... cheers ! i will be back very soon Edited February 9, 2020 by BLACKCODE completing the message
BLACKCODE Posted February 10, 2020 Author Posted February 10, 2020 hello ! a little step more. i noticed i didn't put the lighting for the speed indicator. not very well built this time, maybe the coat of paint would hide the imperfections. . cheers ! 4
PlaStix Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Very, very impressive modelling! Kind regards, Stix 1
