Should be Very Big Planes Kits! Looking forward to other people’s builds of this - more than I have room for by a big margin but nice to see they’re doing this.

Got quite excited when I saw the news! Just wish it was something like a DC-10 though... maybe one day.

Wow,

I, myself was wondering about either a B737-800 or A320/321. But the B777-300 (-300 that is) is way out of size for me.

Nice project though.

Blimey, & I thought my Zvezda 1/144 kit was almost too big. 😮

This will be bigger than the Monogram 1/72 B-36 Peacemaker. If it is all plastic, by my reckoning, this will make it the largest injection molded plastic aircraft model ever.

There are bigger aircraft models, like HPHs 1/48 B-36, but not in plastic.

I'm scared to see the cost. Have to build a hanger at the airport for it. I'm designing everything in my place to fit the B-36 as the largest model. This needs running engines and full lights.

as much as i like the idea, it doesnt make any sense if you think commercially. many people already said its too big for them, the price of the kit will also be beyond many modeller's budget, and normally i get more than one kit, but for this one i m also going for  single one.

i'd rather appreciate the A32X series, or a nice 727, 757 or 767 , actually almost anything else than a 777 - but hey, the want it that way. in the history many manufacturers made wrong decisions not listening to their customers and it often was a financial desaster. just my 2 cents

Indeed - I think you may well be correct.

I've built a 1/72nd 747 from the AIM vacform and that is H U G E. And considering the 777-300 is, I believe, longer than a 747 you'll need some serious shelf-space!

As for price - if a 737 from BPK is bouncing around the £120-mark - the 777 has got to be in £250-£300+ bracket I'd have thought. Many of HK's Lancs have sold at £350+ but whether or not a civvie will have the same appeal remains to be seen.

No matter what price (even if I guess it will be in the USD 300 ballpark), I will get at least 3. I really hope they go through, and having experienced their tooling and detailing quality, it will make for quite a model kit !!!
