trickyrich
it's a shame about the decals as it was going so well!! Hopefully drowning them in decal solution will help. The -21 is coming along nicely. Mmmmm and now you've made me hungry!! Bacon!!!! is a food group all by itself....everything goes better with bacon!! Marlin
Hi, and thanks Rich. I totally agree that bacon is a foodgroup of it's own. I've done some more work on the J21. On this one I got some seams that has to be fixed. 207 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I'm using liquid sprue to fill the seams. And the second boom has be a bit of a bother. 208 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 209 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I've sanded and filled these gaps and steps with more liquid sprue and hopefully it'll be OK tonight. To be continued..... /Bosse

Marlin
Thanks Col. I don't think they'll be any problem. Just some more liquid sprue and sanding/polishing to do. /Bosse
trickyrich
mmm using plastic is the best for joins, no shrinkage. I'm hard pressed to say which of these is my fav build at the moment! And no I'm not buying both!!

I just wonder why I havn't used liquid sprue before. It's great as filler. /Bosse

I mean how does one make it, apply it etc. Take a part used bottle of extra thin liquid glue and add some chopped up sections of plastic runners from a kit to melt it down into sprue-goo that can then be applied to any areas needing filled. Obviously don't trowel it on too thick otherwise it'll melt everything around it but once set it can be treated like normal plastic kit parts such as sanded and scribed 3

Just take a bottlee of Tamiya Extra Thin that has around 1/3 to 1/2 left in it and then snip small bits of sprue and let them desolve in it. When you have a gooey substance that leaves a spiderweb like strings you have the right conistance. If you get it to hard add more TET, if too runny add more sprue. And you use the brush in the bottle cap to apply it. /Bosse Edited February 20, 2020 by Marlin lousy laptop keyboard 4

Marlin
Hi I got the booms in order and every seam is fixed. And the rudder has been added between the booms. 211 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr So the plan for tonight is primer. And I've got the delivery of UMP's decals solutions. 212 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I'm really curious on how the decals will react with these. So I plan to try them out on the J29 after I've primed the J21. To be continued..... /Bosse

Marlin
Hi, Another productive day is coming to an end. I've painted the underside of the J21. 244 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I've used Hatakas Swedish Airforce colours, and the go on really well with a paintbrush. And the rest of the decals for the J29 is done. 245 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 246 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 247 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 248 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I'll let it dry over night and then seal the decals with some clear varnish tomorrow. Marlin
Good Morning. I've now painted the topside of the J21 with 325M Green, also included in the Hataka Swedish Air Force set. 249 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr This evening we're going to the cottage for a short winterbreak for the weekend. Perhaps some BBQ will occur. On Sunday I hope that the paint has cured so I can put the first gloss coat on it. Marlin
Hi: I just had a most fantastic weeked in the cottage. Axel took some more picture of the moon with his telescope. This one turned out real nice. 250 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr On Friday the sun shone from an almost completly blue sky. 251 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 252 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And with weater like this you have to barbeque, that's a law since many year ago. 253 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Anne and Axel wanted grilled minced lamb patties. As for my self I settled on a grilled tuna steak. 255 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I don't only like good food and building models, I like icehockey as well. And on Friday "my" team played in the Final in Divsion 1 against Halmstad in a round of best of three matches. We had the advantage of having won on Tuesday in Halmstad and now had the opportunity to win the Final on our own homeground. Since we didn't whant to book of our weekend in the cottage we steamed the match over the web on my tablet sitting at the kitchen table. 254 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Unfortunatelly Halmstad won the game, and brought forth a third and final game for Saturday. So the same routine was set for Saturday afternoon, but this time with some grilled chicken and a greek inspiered sallad and tzatziki. 256 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And I must say that the food tasted even better as my team Väsby won the game and are now qualified for a round with six teams were the two top one will play in the next division (Allsvenskan) in next season. This is the first time in 12 years Väsby has gone this far. 257 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Saturday turned in to Sunday and the winter came back. 258 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr But even with this setback we had a great weekend at the cottage. And tonight I'll get back to building models again. To be continued..... /Bosse
