Welcome & Rules for Nordic GB

Well welcome to the first GB of the year and the decade!!!

 

I know there have been some very excited souls waiting for this one to start so let’s get the boring stuff out of the way first.

 

For this GB as usual I’ll have a lovely and adorable Co-host but unfortunately all I could find is Col!  

 

The rules and eligibility are nice and simple.

 

So eligible countries are;

 

·       Sweden

·       Norway

·       Denmark

·       Finland

·       Iceland

 

So, you build can either be:

 

·       Military or Civilian equipment that was or is produced in these regions that is used there or abroad.

·       Foreign uses of equipment from these countries.

·       Foreign equipment used by these countries. 

·       All foreign military equipment based in these countries is excluded, this includes deployments.

·       Plus I will allow Scandinavian motorsport drivers and their vehicles in as well.

·       Ikea Flat-packs

 

If you’re stuck then please ask, keep it nice a simple and it’ll be fine.

 

For the actual rules, nice and simple and pretty much the usual:

 

·       The Group Build will run from 00:01GMT Saturday 18th January to 23:59GMT 10th May.

·       The model can be any scale, but sorry no snap-tight models. Aftermarket stuff, as much as you’d like!

·       All models must be less than 25% complete at the start of the build, if in doubt please ask.

·       All builds must have a WIP thread showing progress, models cannot go into the gallery unless there is a build thread for them. Please remember only 5 photos go into the gallery, you may be asked to remove some if you have too many. Ikea builds must be shown in use!!

·       No buying/wanted or selling in the GB please, there is a buying and selling section in Britmodeller for this!

·       There will be polls to vote for your favourite builds at the end of the GB, but please do not canvas for votes. Sorry no voting for Ikea builds but therapy will be available.

·       No WhatIf or Fictional craft or schemes.

·       Please be polite and constrictive with your comments to member’s builds and no arguments please and no rivet counting either please!

·       For Ikea Flat-pack builds you’ll have either 12 months, or until SWMBO nags you to death to finish it, and you mustn’t have any bits left over!  

 

GB’s are all about having fun and enjoying the build no matter what your modelling skills. Those new to GB’s please feel free to ask for help if you need it, there are always plenty of members happy to help out.
