Here is my final build for this GB.  As if I haven't done enough.  Typical of my madness!  🤪

This was a decent kit that required a fair amount of fettling and hand-holding to get it right, or at least a close facsimile of the concept.  With the Eduard kits on the market modellers gave become spoiled, but this one isn't bad. Decent detail, etc,... I suggest using these KoPro kits it as a way to utilize any superb leftover Eduard decals as those supplied by KP are not the best.  Certainly the stencils were not great.  Still, it is a striking looking aircraft and reminds us all that Finland is not a NATO partner and can have trade deals with whomever she choses, thank you very much! 😁

All the paints are Vallejo Model Air or Vallejo.  There is some scratch work, but only as a repair element.  Pretty much OOB.  Many thanks to the Mods for this GB.  Someday maybe we'll do an "All Finland, All the Time" GB and I can put a big dent in that box on the shelf.

Finns are bit behind swedes on number when it comes to WIP projects - but let's keep them ahead on the finished models

Saab Sk60B, Swedish Royal Air Force

Kit: Marivox Saab 105  (No. 2)

Scale: 1/72

Paints: Vallejo Model, Air & Metal Color

Weathering: Flory Models Wash, Mig weathering products

What a handful of a kit - very vaguely fitting parts, the little details it had got lost in the chunky plastic, lot of sanding & puttying. Decals were poor and crackling.

Glad it's done, even more happy to move on to a next build :D

Nordic only in genes,

but probably the one or other pilot went up north for additional training in Sweden as well, especially true for later for initial Saab 105 and all Draken pilots ;)

so a worthy entrant imho ;)

Hello! My first Group Build here on BritModeller as I've only been here a few months but the GBs looked like fun. I'm a car/bike builder so I liked the flexibility of this GB and went with the Aoshima/Beemax Volvo 240 Turbo Group A racer. It's a pretty simple kit and I decided to build it up as a street car instead of a racer, you can find the WIP here:

I did end up getting carried away with the props and the backgrounds but I had fun! Anyway, here's a very Swedish car visiting a very Swedish place:

Volvo_Outside-11-1920x1080

And one with my thumb for scale:

I also did a 'studio' style shoot and this was definitely my favourite angle:

There's more photos in the WIP if you're interested. I've enjoyed having a theme to build to and to be able to apply some creativity - I'm looking for an appropriate Navy vehicle next - we'll see if I can come up with something.

Thanks for looking.

Martin.

My take on Marivox Sk60, a B aircraft from the light attack at F21 Kallax.

No warning systems, no chaff, no flares, no EW suite, just fly low enough that any incoming missile will have its proximity trigger off of the ground...
