Good evening

I started by painting the cockpit interior

I painted the seat and placed it on the ''floor''

I placed the stick and instrument panel

I also prepared the propeller

A great choice Patrice.

The cockpit looks very good. I must get one of those Yahu IPs, looks amazing.

A good step Patrice, one I should have probably done, Mustang flaps always droop on the ground, something to do with the hydraulic pressure dropping I seem to recall. Too late now!

Surprising really that all these good kits, Tamiya, Hasegawa, Academy etc didn't give the option of lowered flaps. I think the Airfix new tooling does (buried in the stash somewhere).

Cheers,

Mmm...

The Academy P-51D kit comes with loose flaps albeit not directly the option of lowered flaps the way the Airfix kit comes with. And the older Heller kit is easilly converted to an aircraft with lowered flaps. I feel the queastion is why Tamiya didn't give that option in 1/72?

Good evening Charlie

You can always build another kit and cut the flaps ..

Yes the Airfix gives the option of lowered flaps ..

All the best

You are rigjht about the old Academy kit ..

One wonder if there is a story behind the reason why the top of the rudder wasn't painted red?

Good morning André

I followed the profile at the beginning of my post I know it's just a profile but apart from a partial photo of this aircraft this is the only source of information I have ..
