Colin W
Hi Chaps, A very productive year for me in 2019. Totally 10 models built with 9 from 7 Group builds together below. All 1/48 except HTMS Khram ship which is 1/144. First of the year for the '50's NATO Group build' was a HiTech 1/48 Dassault Mystere IV. Most decals were home printed Next came a couple of Airfix 1/48 Bae Hawks for the 'Trainers Group Build' The Night Fighters section of the 'Specialists Group build' came next which was a chance to build a Classic Airframes 1/48 Meteor NF11 Another build on the 'Trainers Group Build' inspired me to go back and do another Hawk variant. The US Navy T-45C based on the Takom 1/48 kit The 'Lockheed Group Build' was next which was a chance to build a very unusual Thai scheme on a T-33. The RT-33 was a Milliput based conversion of the new 1/48 T-33 Great Wall kit. Most decals were home printed 'The Year You Were Born' was a great idea for a Group Build and meant the 1/48 Valom Islander kit got built within a year of its release. All decals were home printed For the '80's Front line Asia' Group Build was the Encore repop of the Monogram 1/48 A-37. Completed using the same scheme as the RT-33 earlier. Most decals were home printed Now for something completly different, a 1/48 Bandai X-wing for the Film and speculative Group Build. Finally the 1/144 scale Revell LCM 'Early' modified with some parts from the 'late' kit to produce HTMS Khram, a wreck sunk in Thailand which we SCUBA dive onto regularly, So 9 models from 7 Group builds for me. I was planning to join the P-51 Group build but the timing didnt work out. Thanks to Enzo and the Mods for all the Group Builds which really help keep me motivated to crack on. Happy New Year to All Britmodellers Cheers Colin W
