Adam Poultney
Airfix 1/72 Vickers Valiant BK.Mk.1 XD857 Built OOB, more atmospheric shots (and more V Bombers!) at the end: Stressful picture to take! The stand barely held the model add it didn't fit at all properly! In fact you can see one of the rods is just under the model. I did promise the complete V Bomber trio (sorry I don't have a Sperin to make the four... yet!). No nice backdrop on these images though, perhaps I'll take some more at some point... Here's the WIP thread ^^ Edited January 9, 2020 by Adam Poultney 47

Hope you have somewhere safer to keep them than the floor!!! Pat Thank you, yes I have somewhere safer to keep them haha. My big V Bombers have just about enough space, although I need to get some new furniture to put the next few on. I've got an Airfix Victor in progress (my second one) and am about to get a Valiant which will be started as soon as my Victor is done. For now a coffee table will do, I found one that I can put up to four 1/72 V Bombers on (it's got a lower shelf underneath as well) and I have a perfect gap for it pretty much to the exact cm. At some point I'll build a pair new display cases from scratch to the exact size I need for V Bombers (it's something like 55x55cm minimum) with ideally four to five shelves in each, three from each for a set of V Bombers and one model on top of each as well (were my old tool Vulcan will end up).

bzn20
Great collection of V Bombers , like that sectioned Vulcan on a trolley . Got all 3 bombers like that round the corner at Flixton near Bungay.... When I saw you'd parked that lot for the photoshoot behind an inward opening door ….. Hairs were rising all over my neck ! Great work ,well done !

I think the weathering, although nothing award winning, is miles ahead of my Victor.

Ad-4N
Amazing that in the ancient days they had the money to build three separate strategic bombers at the same time.

I read a story of a V-Force crew who visited a SAC base on exercise. A USAF ground crewman asked them if their aircraft was a Valiant or a Victor - they told him it was a Vulcan. Their host said 'Gee, I wish we could afford three strategic bombers'. The RAF guys nodded, thinking yes, we wish Britain could afford them too...
