The Spadgent
Good afternoon guys and gals. pretty much all done On the 262 all but the shouting as they say. I have been pulling new boxes for the last couple of days but I think, think we have a winner. Maybe. 🤔🤣🤔 let’s see how we got where we’re at. The gun hole bits. I think they’re gun hole bits got painted a dark metal colour. Phew! Final bit before the wash. 😇 I’m actually running out of Flory washes so during the drying process I ordered some back up pots. Black and dark dirt. 🙌 The bits n Bobs got awash too. Dried for 30 mins or so them wipe away, leaving areas that I felt needed to be left. and as @CedB would say. A dead one. 🤣 The UC got cleaned and captured for posterity. Then assembled with a Tamiya weather wash. I also did a subtle Tamiya wash on the main fuselage and wings. top. What do you mean where? There!!! 🤔🤪 oh never mind. 😂🤣 and on the bottom, trust me it’s there. judging by that shot the wash is highlighting the seam. 🤔 I sorted that😱 so I kicked back the wash a little. 🤣😬 Now time to bring all these parts together. Tanks on. 😇 now time for the UC. Perfect. 😇 UC doors. The front one had to be held in place while the glue went off. While that was drying I had a play with some AK streaking wash. Very subtle but I know it’s there. 👌🤩 I made a new sensor tube thing on the wing from the old wire from my fencing foil.🤺 Added the sticky out bits. And the funny front bits. Oh aaaaaand she’s on her feets🙌😍 All in order it seems. Just the flat coat and the wing tip lights aaaand unmasking the canopy left to go. 🥰🥳🤗😀 This was the point I had to do house chores. These are now done and I can finish her off. here is my possible build. any ideas? 😍 Thanks for poping in and checking out the little 262. One post left. hope you’re all having a splendid weekend. Take care and as always, happy Modeling. Johnny. 😇 Edited February 23, 2020 by The Spadgent

The Spadgent
Good evening everyone, I trust you're all having a rather splendid Monday and that the weekend went as well as can be expected. The 262 is complete. 😃 She was a great little build that has kicked off this year rather nicely. ( I must finish that bloody robot thing too ) Any hoo here are a couple of shots with the canopy masks off. Thanks to every one for tagging along. It's been a real pleasure. Shes only ickle so getting the RFI done shouldn't be too much of a struggle. Probs next weekend. here's a parting shot just for you guys. I'll post up here when the RFI is done. Well done to @Spookytooth and @giemme for guessing my next build. It is indeed a P-47. I have started a WIP which should be found "here" depending on how quick I am to get the thread up and running. 😇 Thanks again for making this build so enjoyable, I hope you had as much fun as I did. See you on the other side. Johnny. 😃 Edited February 24, 2020 by The Spadgent

I wish I had done before. 🤨 before the RFI I’m going to replace those thick nose antennas with wire and add the radio wire too. It’ll bug me otherwise. 😇 1

It will definitely benefit, so see what you can do with the aerials. Worth a try I reckon 👍

The Spadgent
Thanks @CedB. I had to sort it out. quick update. Even snipped off the main part looked too thick.😫 so off with ‘em and time for a sand. I think maybe thinner still. i painted some wine top wire for the main part. Should be able to finish this off tomorrow when dry. snapped off that little wing tube too. 😖 gah! hope you’re all having a good ponkeark day. 🤗🤩 Johnny
Brandy
I wasn't going to mention the aerials as the rest overshadowed them, but a good decision! She'll be top drawer when done! Ian

I haven't mentioned that, but that was my first thought. Toy like and the rest top notch Some wire or an etched part will sort that out quickly and make a great difference (On all 1:72 inmho). The Spadgent
Ok so this. Is what we’re after. I sanded the part. Alas it looked a bit off so off with their heads. I stuck on some 0.6mm rod. 😍 Then attached the wine wire. Much better. My eyes are bandy after two of those. So instead of starting on the twin wasp of the JUG I added the wire on the 262. Can anyone help here. Does it go to the aerial or to the canopy or both? I think the aerial but I’ve seen both. That needs to dry before painting. Fencing tomorrow so Friday looks like the final day. 🤩 Thanks for looking it. sweet dreams peeps. Johnny.
