airbus320
Good evening all, as a long term resident of the UAE I thought it would be appropriate to build a ‘local interest’ subject. Here is my Hawker Hunter FGA.76 from Sharjah Air Base in the 1970s. It’s the Academy kit with replacement resin cockpit and wheels, Aeroclub jet pipe and aftermarket decals. Paints were mixed by eye to match photos. Hope you like it! Chris 57

dbay133
Very nice. I also spent many years in the Middle East and I like the look of the Hunters of these nascent air forces. Graeme

stevehnz
I'm liking this, especially now I've seen it on a decent sized screen. I'm aiming to do something like this (Kuwait markings) in 1/72. I'll be striving for colours as good as those for mine. Steve.

It’s mostly Gunpla but they have a good selection of Tamiya and Hasegawa kits plus loads of paints, tools etc. including Mig and I think Vallejo too. www.otakume.com Chris

exdraken
Great Hunter! I do like the Middle Eastern Hunter a lot ! Fantastic colors!
stever219
That's a lovely result from a kit that's not without "gotchas". The underside blue is very striking and ought to have found its way onto an aerobatic team's jets.
Tiger331
Nice model......great finish. Just goes to show that one can still produce a great looking model from a so-called inferior kit with a few aftermarket accessories and some skill. Really like the colour scheme and makes a nice change from the usual fare. Well Done, Sir !
