72modeler
Just now saw the glad tidings that Airfix is releasing a new-tool 1/72 Beaufort! Personally, I have a preference for my favorite version, but I am soooo happy we are getting a new, state of the art kit, that I don't really care which version/s Airfix will release- just give me a decent airframe, and I can do the rest, as I bet many of you can, too. Here's a short video walk around and a still walk around, along with a two-part video on RAAF Beauforts. I hope you will find useful. Let the reference gathering begin! (Anybody want a couple of Airfix and Special Hobby kits?) Julien
It would be nice if here on BM when we reference people to walkarounds that we actaully reference the ones on here, a lot of time and effore has gone into the over 45000 pics that are uploaded there. 72modeler
Julien, So sorry! Didn't think to look in the walkaround section, as I was so excited about the news and wanted to get reference material out there to the masses in a timely manner- will remember to check first from now on. Mea culpa; Que lastima! Es tut mir leid! Mike

JPuente54
A Beaufort! I remember FROG's effort from so many decades ago; yes, I actually built that one. Am happy that Airfix is offering one. Now for the Hampton, and all the versions of it. Joe Hampden! Thanks for the spelling correction! Sure would be nice! I have an unbuilt Frog kit, and I have seen a couple of amazing builds, but I'm not in that league. I would think Valom or Special Hobby might be possible contenders- sure is a handsome old brute on either wheels or floats! Love that photo, BTW! Seahawk
And W A (Bill) Harrison Bruce Robertson authored a book called Beaufort Special back in the 1970s. One of quite a good series published by Ian Allen (Spitfire, Hurricane, Lysander, Swordfish). Edited January 10, 2020 by Seahawk I stand corrected!

72modeler
Found a cockpit photo of Beaufort A9-13, a Mk V, ex-RAF T9952, and one of A9-703, a Mk IX, as well as a group of restoration photos of A9-141. Thought they would be good references.
