Gisbod
All finished. In summary, the Airfix kit was great, the Catapult from NeOmega was very nicely done. Quite pleased with the result, as long as you don’t look too closely! Build thread here: And this is how she turned out: Guy 60
Richard E
Well I've looked and then looked closely and can only see a lot to be very pleased about. A very different way of presenting a familiar subject Guy.

tonyot
Looks brilliant Guy,.... but you still went and forgot that head rest!! Must be a very imposing model in the `flesh/plastic',...... very well done indeed. Cheers Tony

Holzhamer
What’s wrong with having a closer look? It looks very good, as good as from afar. It’s a great vignette!

Gisbod
Ah thank you, you’re too kind. 2 hours ago, Richard E said: Well I've looked and then looked closely and can only see a lot to be very pleased about. It’s just that when you’ve been staring at a model on the bench for a number of weeks you know every little flaw. I don’t think I’ve ever finished a model yet that I’ve thought ‘That’s great - it’s flawless’. As soon as they’re done I just want to chuck them in a box and start something else... 1 hour ago, tonyot said: Looks brilliant Guy,.... but you still went and forgot that head rest!! mackem01
Fantastic result, love it. One thing - that pilot looks a bit cocky..............'spose it's because he gets to fly Hurricanes!
Baldy
Guy - it looks pretty darned good to me too! Love it. Nice build and finish - and convincing amount of weathering. Nice figure too. Cheers Malcolm

Spitfire31
Firmly in the WOW! category! In its stylized presentation, it gives an evocative impression of this crazy, kamikaze-like scheme, that apparently had some successes. Impressive work on all accounts. And forget about 'flawless'. While touristing in Samarkand afew years ago, I learnt the phrase: 'Only Allah is perfect'. In fact, every classical building had a tile (out of thousands) that had an intentional error in its pattern… A useful word of wisdom when modelling, whatever your faith, or lack of it. Kind regards, Joachim
