Very surprised that the Sabre is in 1/48 - Saw the price and though that this has got to be in 1/48th! 😃

Welcome though - the last 1/48 sabre I bought was the Academy with decals for  "The Huff"

That's an open canopy! I'm happy!

-also, lanc bii reissue? Yes pls

-1/24 109 reissue? Nice

-1/24 Spitfire reissue.... They were cheap anyway though

Let’s hope they have allowed for all the different ‘c’ wing armament options

What is this? The same kit? Decals look.... wrong, but I like that stand.

Personally, I think it's a good selection, also giving a few new tools that have been requested for some time. Really nice to see the Mk XIV Spit with G-FIRE decals, and I think I may have to pick up the BBMF set as well. I think Airfix will be getting a fair bit of cash from me this year.

Hmmm :( A only quarter scale new  is - Sabre ?! Academy and Hasegawa offer are still nice... and relative cheap... But i hope in attractive R.A.F./ Italian/Yugoslavian marking as are in 1/72 kit...

No "car scale" aircraft.... No new 1/48 B-17, B-24, Lancaster... No 1/72 B-one, O/400, or Halifax and 1/72 B-29 Superfortress/Washington/Tu-4... Beaufort are great, but is in small scale 😕 Spit Mk. Vc - good choice, but too in small scale.

Any of us could fill a dozen pages with a list of everything Airfix hasn't announced for 2020, and do exactly the same for every other manufacturer, whether European, American or Asia-Pacific. Anyone can do that. What's the point of this constant complaint supposed to be?

I was planning on picking that up, but reissuing the Lanc Bii I think has changed my mind unless I really want another Spitfire PRXIX...

I count ten Spitfires in various boxings, reissues etc.

The RAF Buccaneer, while anticipated, is the only kit I will pre-order; if I buy anything from else from this catalogue they will be spur of the moment purchases.

Having said that that I do think this is a solid (if not spectacular) range from Airfix which I am sure will satisfy a great number of modellers.

I just spotted a neat neat touch from Airfix with the stands for this set - https://www.airfix.com/uk-en/shop/new-for-2020/best-of-british-spitfire-and-hawk.html

Couple of new tool small scale tanks have slipped quietly in amongst all the 1/35 reboxes too.

If you are referring to the Cromwells I think you'll find they are shown with the wrong scale quoted.

Airfix are saying the model is 181mm long -  if they were 1/72 as Airfix show then they would be over 13metres in length full size (over 43 feet)!! Actual length full size is quoted as 6.35metres so in 1/35th scale that would make the model 181mm long.

So they should be 1/35th.

This looks like a cheap die-cast Spitfire, I doubt they even have test shots of the new one

They were 1/35 last week, too

I see the new 1/48 Sabre F.4 is "Expected: Winter 2019-2020". Unless this is a typo (i.e. Winter 2020/21); that suggests its release is quite imminent!  .

Something to keep me happy until the arrival of the "mighty god of fire" later this year. Let's hope Xtradecal oblige with a couple of specialist sheets - I fancy a 71 Sqn machine.

Nope, new Firefly and Tiger. Basic kit is £9.99 so I'm assuming 1/7x. Both come as vanilla kit, starter sets and as a double boxing.

.. and of course the Maserati Indy is back - I've just finished one (vintage boxing) last year!

I can't find it on the site, did you see it there?

Maserati is on the first page, https://www.airfix.com/uk-en/shop/new-for-2020/maserati-indy.html some artwork for the previous intended re-release. I'm hoping we'll set the Jag Mk.X one day.

Thanks, it didn't show on a search for "Indy"

Mark X: do you mean the narrow-body Jag 420 that they did? i.e. the car that was basically a revamp of the S-Type, but with a narrower version of the Mark X snout?

I've never seen a 420G / Mark X by Airfix.

At a guess it's because it's the Eightieth anniversary of the Battle of Britain this year.

Dave

Also it might be a guage for future demand for new mold replacements. Who knows how these things work?
