MIRAGE F.1 SAAF Airfix 1:72

Hi to all

Finished very old Airfix model, in SAAF colors. Build OOB only added resin ejection seat

I vas tempted how to weather this plane not becouse raised panel lines but becouse SAAF Mirages looks always like new and fresh painted in excellent condition.....so at the end it stayed clean ....

Finished with Humbrol enamels brush painted.

Very nice indeed - goes to show that an oldie can still look good when well built and painted - and we don't HAVE to spend a fortune on airbrushes, scribers, resin cockpits and the like.

That’s a cracking job on that old girl and (to my eye) finely raised panel lines are more than acceptable on smooth skinned modern-ish aircraft such as the Mirage family. You’ve done well to finish it off so nicely.
