Dave_R
Hi All, I've dug out the 1/48 Airfix Stuka from the stash for this GB. This will actually be the first Stuka I've built - so good to be adding it to the collection. Dave.

Basilisk
And who knows, it is maybe the first of many. I wish you an enjoyable build Cheers, Peter
Dave_R
Hi All, The first part of the cockpit is done. The seat belts are from an Eduard Bf-110 set. The side walls. IP and radios to do and then the fuselage can go together. Dave.

Greg Law
That's looking very good. Wish my Condor legion was that straight forward.
Dave_R
Hi All, It's coming together now. (must remember to remove the dust before sticking the canopy on). It mostly went together very easily and fits well. The only slightly problematic area is the engine - multiple panels, still not too bad. Basilisk
Great progress and indeed another Blitz build. Did you use a mask to pint the Canopy framing? looks very precise. Cheers, Peter

Cheers, Peter Just masking tape and a sharp scalpel - although a pre-cut mask would have quicker and they are definitely the best option for multi- engine bombers. Dave_R
Hi All. The underside is done and the wing tips and rudder have been painted white and masked. Dave.
Dave_R
Hi All, The Dunkelgrun is on. The light seems a bit weird today and it doesn't look that to the eye - less contrast and more uniform. Next many hours with masking tape and scalpel. Greg Law
That's coming along very well. You don't know how lucky you are to have the exhausts as a one piece part. I have to fit each one one at a time into holes that are too small. Can you imagine the flight risk. It is another nightmare of this kit. I've got three in so far and I'm having to take a break from the stress. 😓
Dave_R
Hi All, After a bazillion pieces of masking tape it's ready for the Schwartzgrun. Why do I always forget what a pain splinter camo. is? Dave.
Greg Law
It's like a woman forgets the pain of labour. You are designed that way. 1

Jpthedog
Very swift progress and looking really good. Can I ask how you got the IP looking so good? I tried brush painting mine, but its shocking..... Then noticed there was a decal.... John

John It's just the decal from the kit applied to the panel, which is painted RLM66 and then softened with Micro-Sol. The dial faces line up nicely with the dial rims.
