Derelict Mig-21

Recommended Posts

What puts this above most other derelict aircraft models is the surroundings. The rusty fence and the weeds growing through the cracks in the concrete etc. are additions that provide context. The lighting of the photographs also adds to the feeling of abandonment.

As you might have guessed I like this a lot. Very well done indeed.

I came across something very similar to this in Czech a few years ago.

Continuing with the praises for this - it reminds me of my visit to the Czech' air fore museum, where the exhibits range from well preserved to derelict.

I've never done anything like this before, but I would imagine that this type of finish is one of  the hardest to achieve, and you've done it brilliantly. It's always sad to see an old warrior rotting away like this, regardless of which nation it belonged to.
