I fully realize that there is no shortage of derelict MIG-21's to be found, in model-, photographic- and actual forms, as well I know excessive weathering is not everyone cuppa. But I find the topic fascinating, and a derelict MIG-21 had to be included in my collection at some point, along with the spitfire, swordfish and other "must haves" that we all have on our lists. The rusty fence and the weeds growing through the cracks in the concrete etc. are additions that provide context. The lighting of the photographs also adds to the feeling of abandonment.
