Evening all,

I spent a good deal of time masking for the Black Green on Sunday and have just sprayed and de-masked this afternoon. Overall not too bad a couple of very minor paint peels and overspray but they can either be disguised with paint chipping or covered up with some necessary hand painting around the top of the 'spats'. I have lost the pre-shading under the darker green but the whole thing is going to treated with some oil paint and weathering powders to add some more definition:

As I said a little bit of hand painting to be done on the wheels and Tail plane supports before a gloss coat.

Cheers,

Mark.

Hi all,

Something I've been working on to go on the display with the Stuka:

Tamiya's lovely little Citroen 11CV Traction and some ICM German figures a work in progress but really enjoyable:

Evening all,

All remedial paint work and touch-ups complete, gloss coat applied and most of the decals in place:

The larger decals are quite thick and required the use of Mr Mark Softer to get them to conform to the underlying detail.

Cheers,

Mark.

Afternoon all,

I thought I'd have a go at scratching a Luftwaffe bomb trolley for the Stuka, I know I could buy one but they ain't cheap and I got plenty of time on my hands now!

I knew those metal parts from ancient floppy disks would come in handy one day and SWAMBO scoffed at the idea...Ha! The metal is easy to score and work surprisingly.

General scale is, I'm afraid, dictated by the available wheels.

...consequently we are a little bit overscale.....

hmmm...maybe a bit more than overscale .......vorsprung durch over engineering!

I'll slap some paint on it and see if that makes it look a bit better...

A good idea, fun to do but maybe needs re-thinking.

Cheers,

Mark

That bomb trolley might be fun, but that Stuka nose certainly looks the part on the left of the picture.

Evening all,

I spent the day weathering the Stuka, mostly done with Tamiya weathering powders straight on to the matt coat this time as it has a bit more 'tooth', a bit of oil paint here and there and some Tamiya panel line accent and Vallejo fuel staining:

I had to mask and re-spray the panel directly outboard of the port gun access as I managed to drop some neat alcohol on it with predictable results...

I need to matt coat the canopy framing, add the radio antenna wire, finish the gun access panels and add the wing stored bombs.

On the upper surfaces I picked out the panel centres, but on the underside I worked in reverse picking out the panel lines with the 'mud' weathering powder, being quite 'orangey' I think it works well with the light blue colour:

The bomb 'trapeze' has yet to be painted, the kit pitot was just a waste of plastic so I have replaced it with some brass tube.

Getting there,

Cheers,

Mark.
