Academy P40c Tomahawk canopy.

Hi. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement canopy for the above kit please. 

I foolishly broke the original and I am struggling to find a replacement.

I can find several P-40 vacuform canopies (RobTaurus, Squadron etc ) but not the C Tomahawk version.

Is it just the central sliding section you've bust? Especially if you are happy to position it slid back, a section of a vac-form made for the Monogram kit will do.

 

The Academy kit is a re-box of the Hobbycraft kit. When Tom Cleaver built this one he used Monogram canopy sections successfully, although he did modify the windscreen surround to fit the Monogram windscreen. But it shows that the Monogram sliding section looks okay on the Hobbycraft kit.

If you are likely to build other types that would benefit from that set then it's excellent value. If not, I'm sure you;d be able to move on the rest of the set in Sales and Wants section pretty easily. Alternatively Squadron sell a two-pack of just the Monogram P-40B/C canopy, based on the same mould (Falncom manufacture all Squadron canopies)
