Editor?

I was recently updating a WIP when I accidentality hit the back button and now there is no evidence of the post I was typing. I have done similar in the past and gone back and the editor has allowed me to pick up where I left off, but not this time. Can it be retrieved still.

Unfortunately not from the BM side of the process, it would normally have been auto saved in your cookies. Until you submit the post, we haven’t seen it

It's one of those things, as Greg says.   The editor usually saves your musings quite regularly, but there's a certain way of screwing it up that gives it amnesia.  I know because I've done it myself, but not often enough to remember what horrible key combination I've pressed.  That's why I usually put anything that's going to be long winded in Word, then copy & paste it over when I'm done with it.  I'm talking reviews & such more than short posts like this one
