Courageous Builds of 2019

As 2019 draws to a close, I thought I'd better get a Yearbook done. The cunning plan was to increase my build rate but guess what, it didn't happen.

The first to appear in 2019 is a...

I end the year with 4 builds in progress, 3 of which will hopefully be completed in January. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have helped and commented in all my builds throughout the year.

All the best for 2020.

Lovely work Stuart and a nice mix of subjects. You've really nailed the seascape bases.

Cheers Roger. The seascapes seem to be working but I think my current method will need to change when I get round to building my 1/700 destroyers.

Great collection, a rewarding year for you!

Thanks Roman, with my stash size, I need to increase my build rate.

I hadn't seen the Sauunders Roe before

What a cracker!

Cheers Rob, much appreciated. Glad you liked the Saunders, bit unusual.

Good work, especially the launch :thumbsup:

Cheers Ratch. I have another three options to build using the same kit; an MTB, MGB and an MAS/B, hopefully they'll come out as good, if not better.

Great Seafoxes and SRA1. I hadn't seen the Sabres or boats before but they look super!

Thanks Adrian but looking at your 2019 build, you have had time to see everything.

A lovely collection of builds of outstanding quality.  May I ask which kit the CA-27 is?  I'm quite keen to expand my Commonwealth air forces collection.

@Meatbox8, here is the build:

Thank you.  Oh, Tasman.  Sudden bad memories of those huge sprue gates came immediately to mind.  I built some of their Spitfires and Seafires about twenty hears ago.  Filing down the moulding runs on the inside of the wing pieces was a nightmare.  Very tough plastic I seem to remember.   The Spitifres have since 'gone West' but I hung on to the Seafires.  To be fair to Tasman they are pretty accurate and, at the time, were pretty much the only way you could build a Griffon Spitfire.
