Rabbit Leader Posted December 30, 2019 Share Posted December 30, 2019 All, Just wondering if anyone knows of a decal sheet that has the various ‘wide’ yellow tail numbers that we readily see on post war Swedish aircraft such as the Draken, Lansen, Viggen etc. Flying Colors Aerodecals sell a sheet of ‘thin’ style numbers however these are common for aircraft up to the early sixties and are not as wide as the latter versions for later periods. I’ve also come across a sheet from Eurodecals, but once again the options are limited and the sheet mainly has the large dayglo upper wing numbers that I do not require. 72modeler Posted December 31, 2019 Share Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) Dave, There was an aftermarket decal maker called Specialtryck that had 1/72 and 1/48 Swedish AF tail code letters and numbers in red, white, yellow, and blue- all with white outlines as I recall. I have the red sheet and it is 72-023. I also remember seeing sheets with the very large numbers as used on J-35's and J-37's, but I don't remember who made them. Best I can do, mate! Scalemates lists some of their sheets although they would appear to be a little hard to come by. I might post this query in the general chat thread for next months Scandinavian GB.
