Think you're in the wrong thread here @Wez ;)

By Jove!  You're right!

Sorry Heather Kay, I haven't a clue how that happened (other than extreme ineptitude on my behalf).

I'm scuttling off now to the right thread to ask the question...

Yes, that's it you're quite right. it's early and I hadn't had a cup of tea at that stage...   ...yes, that's it, not ineptitude at all, thanks for that.

Yup I think I should at least try to build at least 1 multi winged torture kit. Rigging not so sure Mr shaky hands, hammered sausage fingers will be up for that but we will see.

Well done! I’m sure it’ll be fine. :)

S'alright, all sorted now!

Had my first tea of the day, so I’m okay.

@Wez not to worry. It gave me a bit of a chuckle. I’m still doing the Advanced Muppetry course. ;)

Obviously, I've signed up for that one too!

I'd like to join with this beastie if I may:

y4m7bveITo-KgtlKfgL-63OTU93jXiDMqKjgfy1d

My late dad made one in the mid-1970s (the Roy Brown one), unfortunately it suffered a crushing defeat against a 50x70 picture frame.

Been following DMCs build, and seen the whoopsies in the kit, so I want to give it a go as memento.

That looks like fun. Your name has been added to the list, but I hope you can keep your fingers off the kit until we actually get a date for the group build!

(W)right, count me in for this one! I am scared of biplanes, triplane, quadruplanes and so on. Still, they have an eery fascination for me, they do worm their way into my stash and I so far have built a Gladiator and a Tiger Moth. A modest start then.

I have a few more in the stash, but if this GB goes ahead I have set my sights on something special. Mind you, I'll need a lot of practice beforehand. Please add me to the list!

You’ve intrigued me as to your choice of kit. Consider yourself added! :)

The prospect of rigging terrifies me, but I can't consider myself any kind of FAA specialist until I've had a go at a Stringbag, can I? Add me in please! 🤪😉

That was the main reason for promoting this as a GB. You’re more than welcome!

(I’ve an Airfix Stringbag in the 1940 stash, but I’ve invested in the SBS etched set of rigging for it.)

Like you Heather, it is not so much the fear of rigging but aligning all the struts and wings! Nevertheless I have plenty of bi planes stashed away. Maybe I will build a large scale one.

Count me in.

A tentative yes from me. I recently bought an airfix Bulldog as I thought I was  brave enough to attempt the rigging. It’s so tiny it scares me a bit so I’ll need advice to rig it.

Certainly. Welcome aboard! It Depends on your preferred scale, but there’s much to recommend the Airfix Tiger Moth and Gladiator as good introductions. The instructions include rigging diagrams, and there is an etched stainless steel rigging set for the Tiggie.
