dalea
Can someone remind me of the official names of the stone/brown scheme on the latest Valom boxing? Valom calls them Sand and Light Earth.
Wez
I always thought they should be Dark Earth and Mid-Stone.
Giorgio N
Dark Earth and Light Stone. Mid Stone disappeared after WW2 from the colours used by the RAF.

RichG
Finished the same as many RAF Transport Command aircraft in the tactical scheme of the mid 1960's (C-130, Beverley, Argosy, Andover etc) -British Standard BS381C: 450 Dark Earth / 361 Light Stone (with black undersurfaces). Nigel Bunker
According to the IPMS Stockholm charts, for 361 Light Stone there is a choice of Tamiya XF-60 or Xtracolor X29. Dark Earth and Black are easily sourced.
dalea
Thanks, guys. Valom have Humbrol 121 for light stone (=FS33531). You do not wish to see the names of the colours found when you start searching FS33531.
Mr T
Light Stone BS361is also available in the Xtracyrlix range, but in the military range as it also has been used on Army vehicles.

Even Modelmaster/Testors make it for British armour! I used it on my C-130K. David
dalea
Aware of the British Army connection. This is, however, Oz. No Xtracrylix, For Colorcoats. the local suppler is just about out of everything (again, still). Will try Hataka.
