mark.au Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Hello all; I hope you have a great Christmas and are looking forward to the new year. There's a long story behind this build, literally a 12 year effort across two continents. The full story, as usual sits on my website. The short version is that this one started as a build for a friend; he wanted a super-detailed RAF Boston. I ran out of enthusiasm and interest long before it was finished and it became a shelf queen. For some reason I kept the carcass though, and eventually, after a move to Australia, I retrieved it from Canada on a return visit and finally finished it a couple of months ago. As usual, comments and critique are welcome. Thanks for looking. Mark. 31
Rabbit Leader Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 She’s come up a treat (and apples!). Nice to know that it’s finally completed after such a long journey. Colours look really nice to my eye. Cheers and Happy NY.. Dave 1
Greg Law Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Really excellent build. Has the same story as some of my completed builds. It is always special when a project is completed over such a long period.
jeaton01 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Nicely done, I like the weathering. When is the friend going to pick it up?😲
Sydhuey Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Looks good, She's Apples is my favourite Boston, couple of small things , the DB-7B's ran twin .303 Brownings in the Gunners position , the A-20C's ran a single .50 but the DB-7B's and A-20A's ran the twin .303's. Also the cheek guns are .303's so you shouldn't see any barrel sticking out , the DB-7B's and A-20A's ran 4 x .303's in the cheek positions , the A-20C's ran a single .50 each side with the projecting barrel.

Great info, thanks for letting me know. Should be an easy fix if, I can find the twin barrel Browning. Thanks to everyone for the comments and likes. Cheers! Mark.
