1/72 A-4/V-2, Revell & 1/72 Jet Provost, Airfix

Recommended Posts

tFiguring that with no internal features, transparencies or flying surfaces the V-2 would be an ideal blitz build candidate

Kit, Christmas dinner leftover turkey etc. and a bonus kit if things are going really really well we start

At 16:15 on the 28th. Oodles of time to beat the deadline

After sweating some leek in oil, frying lardons, adding a little flour and then stock we have a gravy. Mix with leftover chopped up turkey, more leek and top with half a pack of ready roll puff pastry we have

Breakfast was coffee, apple butter on toast and a side of “Why the heck did I decide to do the checkerboard scheme when I always get bleed under masks using brushpaints and I know I hate doing black/white for Invasion stripes?”

After some cursing and deciding to just start over and do the whole thing by hand

Looks the business, i saw the real thing down at Hendon years ago it was much bigger than i imagined !

Im glad you went for black and white scheme as it reminds me of the ones in the films during its development.

Cheers Pat

Blimey, this is a gourmet thread!

The V2 looks pretty gourmet too, nicely done.

I like the stand too, I'm definitely going to get one.

Cheers

Picked up at a good price from @JadlamRacingModels using the money off offer they did for the sponsored single kit GB a while back. Lovely kit and the stand is a lovely bit of engineering

Well... anti glare panel is drying but it definitely needs another coat of the red to get good coverage and be able to put decals on so I present.

Jet Provost T4 represented as it would have looked mid refit and before markings and stencils have been applied
