DennisTheBear
Hi all! Is it possible to convert the Airfix 1/72 UH-46 Sea Knight into a Boeing V 107-II-2? What would the external differences be? And does anyone know if there are New York Airways decals for this aircraft? THA for any replies! modelldoc
The Classic Plane has two possibilities. Easy, you can use a decal sheet for the new window, or you replace it with a vacu part. For me, it was the easier way with the decals: https://www.flickr.com/photos/21603181@N08/26151584584/in/photolist-FQVGZo-kJmejW-9d8ykZ modelldoc

Thanks for the link @Orso and the info on the tail. On 12/28/2019 at 9:59 PM, modelldoc said: The Classic Plane has two possibilities. I might see if I can find that kit somewhere on Evilbay. DennisTheBear

Have to say it looks like a reasonable price, if available. DennisTheBear
Orso
It is a bit funny that I have to build the extended tail on mine as I'm doing a Swedish Navy helo. I used this kit as I already had it in the stash.

But WHAT are the external DIFFERENCES between the military and civil versions of this aircraft? I gather that the V 107-II had and extended tail and different windows. Any other differences? Orso
The Swedish helicopter is an early civilian prototype that was bought to replace a lost one. It had been used for different tests and the longer tail had been added during it's prototype life. It still remains at the Swedish Air Force museum. https://www.ipmsstockholm.se/home/hkp-4b-04064-pa-flygvapenmuseum/
