CarLos
New molds???? What's wrong with their 2012 ones? It's a very nice kit.
warhawk
Just two minor problems, most will choose to live with them... The prop turns the wrong way (Quickboost makes a correction) Center section of the wing has 7 ribs, as the pre-1938 model did. Given that decals represent wartime machines, it should have 6. On 9/29/2019 at 9:47 PM, Aardvark said: See post Sergei Trufanov here: http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43334&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=180 "all the same, for the construction of the U-2 / Po-2 of the military period, it is necessary to completely sag the canvases on the center section. The model has 7 ribs, like the U-2 of the early release, and since 1938 it has gone 6, so that at the same time it will be possible to correct the "spar" ... - early left (like the model), late right" B.R. Serge But I don't see the need to re-tool the thing completely 🤨 I guess we'll have to wait and see the new sprues. Camouflage on box art don't like me, more reminiscent of the colors of the USAF in Vietnam, the light gray below is not enough to complete the picture! 😁 In addition, in my opinion, the angle is not spectacular enough. Box art old model: was more dynamic. Also old colour camouflage Do not hurt your eyes with their acidity colour. On the other hand, the perspective of the new box is closer to the perspective of the photo of the original: B.R. Agree, I liked the old one better, too. ICM box-arts had some cool 'retro' look to them. Striking views paired with those lush forest backgrounds were often the factor that 'persuaded' me to buy those kits: Edited January 27, 2020 by warhawk
Homebee
Source: https://www.facebook.com/ICM.Models/posts/1276753412517594 Quote We take a closer look at old and new sprues for upcoming U-2/Po-2VS. Fresh release is a completely new mold with better details. V.P. Edited February 24, 2020 by Homebee

John Thompson
Yeaaahh - I think I like the old one better. The new one is a nicer shade of grey, though. Ha ha - just kidding - it looks very nice. I'm tempted to buy one. I have to say that it's a credit to ICM when they will retool an almost-new kit in order to correct a couple of very minor details that very few people would even notice. They did something similar 10 or so years ago when they retooled their I-15bis, so props to you guys! John
occa
The main difference as far I can spot it is in the proportions of the fuselage where the newer version has clearly less height. And of course the details are better, I really like it.
