Today I present the 1/24 Aoshima "Mad Max Road Warrior", which was built by the gentleman who's in charge of photographing my aircraft & AFV models, Mr. Wolfgang Rabel. Wolfgang does not bother with online forums, but after I saw the pictures of his "Mad Max" Ford XB GT Falcon Coupe, I thought it would be worth sharing them with you. Here's the kit box: Wolfgang added a lot of scratch-building and detailing to convert the original kit to the version seen in the "Mad Max" movies, such as the interior, wheels and windows. The model was painted with Tamiya TS14 and TS82 . The model was weathered with Vallejo Pigments (Light Yellow Ochre, Dark Yellow Ochre, Rust), Rust from Triangle Crafts and artist's oils. Wolfgang made the wheel chains from twisted wire. Here's a view of the interior, which was entirely scratch-built, as the original kit item is one piece, and was therefore rendered unusable.
