Sturmovik
Hello and welcome to my most recent thread. Here, I'll be posting my build of the Hasegawa Junkers Ju 87G in 1:32. The aircraft will be decalled as Hans Ulrich Rudel's machine. Here are the initial photos: Boxart: Decals and Instructions: And the Sprues: I hope to have a better fitting kit than Revell's Ju 88 in 1:32. Follow the build of you wish to receive an email each time I post an in-progress photo. Edited January 5, 2020 by Sturmovik

Sturmovik
Hello and Merry Christmas to all. I was able to make some big progress with the Ju 87G. Cockpit completed: Sidewalls details painted with matt black: Fuselage halves glued: So far, this build has proven to be less troublesome than my build of the Revell Ju 88 in 1:32, everything fits! Sturmovik
Hello guys, today was a day of big progress with some difficulties with the kit. First, the wings were glued together: The inserts for the long wingtips ended up with gaps, but they were small enough to be ignored. Next came the wingspar, which has the dihedral already done: Wings glued to the fuselage: This join (wings/wingspar) had huge gaps on the underside, which had to be filled and sanded with CA. Flaps and ailerons glued (I hope the decision of gluing them before painting doesn't come back to bite me in the future). Piece J4 (the radio hatch), which is installed immediately behind the cockpit, didn't want to fit, so I had to force it to make it fit. I don't know why it didn't want to fit, maybe I made a mistake when gluing the sidewalls. That's all for today guys, hopefully I'll be able to apply some paint in the weekend. Sturmovik
A quick update on this project, I've outlined the camouflage with a pencil today, tomorrow I'll begin painting. Asking again, has someone who has also built Hase's Ju 87D/G in 32 have had gaps on the lower wing roots? What about piece J4? Did that piece have fit issues with the fuselage? Sturmovik
Onto the painting stage! RLM 70 first, then 71, next 65, and finally the yellow Eastern Front bands under the wings and rear fuselage.
Mottlemaster
I have done a dryfit of main parts and overall fit is very good . Part J4 seems to be a perfect fit ,however there are gaps in lower wing parts . These can probably be reduced when assembly tightes up useing glue . Gaps in any case are in easy place to fill without causing damage . Here are some pics Of course im useing the Aires cockpit set so nothing will fit Cheers Alistair 1

I had issues with part J4 after the sidewalls were installed, so you may want to check that out too. 3 hours ago, phildagreek said: Impressive work so far. Sturmovik
Hello guys, more progress on the Ju 87! Today I painted the RLM 71, while also managing to break loose one of the flaps. It was reglued immediately after breaking it.
Sturmovik
RLM 71 painted on the fuselage. I also painted the stabilizers with RLM 65. The ridges caused by paint accumulation while brushing have also been sanded and flat as possible. Edited December 31, 2019 by Sturmovik
Sturmovik
RLM 65 and 04 painted today. The model is ready for the decals, but I have to gloss varnish it first.
Sturmovik
Right, today the model got gloss coated and decalled: Missing things to add: wheels, propeller and clear parts.
Sturmovik
Cannons and wheels added, only remaining pieces to add are the landing light, rear gun, gun sight and clear parts.
Sturmovik
Canopy masking, tedious but easy due to the really well defined canopy frames. Only one missing and I'll call this build finished. I hope my next thread gets the attention of more people.
Greg Law
Good job on this one. The only reason I haven't followed much is I'm not a fan on Rudel. I tend to avoid his planes. Silly I know. After reading his book I wasn't impressed. He was a totally arrogant man.
