JohnHaa
Dear members, Some pictures of an old model what I build years ago when there were hardly any Fokker Model Kits in the modelshops. The fuselage and wings are made of wood, the other parts are made of plastic. The cockpit was vacuformed over a form, of wood. Nowadays live is much easier, just buy the Special Hobby kit ! I hope you like this old workhorse, which performed very well in Finland. With kind greetings, JohnHaa
Troy Smith
Scratchbuilt. WOW! Lovely work John. How did you do the small markings, like the prop and tail logo, and stencils? cheers T
Luka
Always nice to see a well made D.XXI. The fact that it's scratchbuilt makes it all the more impressive!

72modeler
Beautiful, John! Looks like a Special Hobby or Classic Airframes kit, not a scratchbuild! Mike
Bandsaw Steve
Scratchbuilt from wood - my favourite type of model! 😀

JohnHaa
Thank you all for the compliments ! Happy you like this model . The markings, except the white number, are all handpainted. With kind regards, JohnHaa
bryanm
Brilliant - the scribed panel lines are excellent as is your vacform canopy. The markings are Netherlands East Indies Air Force?
JohnHaa
Thank you for your complements ! 😁 The markings were used both in The Netherlands and The Dutch East Indies. The Fokker D.XXI's were only used in The Netherlands. The orange markings replaced the roundels to avoid confusion with the british roundels.
