Need advice on US modern uniform...

Hi!

I'm planning on buying this Minisoldier miniature:

101st-saw-gunner.jpg

However, after enquiring with Minisoldiers themselves, they told me it depicted a trooper involved in the Invasion of Panama wearing a Woodland camo type of uniform.

Could it still possible to be painted with another kind of camo such as this one in Irak I:

Or an even more modern one?

Thank you for any info.

Ciao

The figure that you have shown has the PASGT kit on (Personnel Armour System Ground Troops) It was brought into service in the early 1980's and served through to the early 2000's

I still think its used by the US Navy, recycled by the DOD and issued for security duty on board ship?

It was certainly issued in woodland pattern and the choc chip desert, it was replaced by a better personal armour system and around the same time the US military changed the camouflage patterns for the USMC and US Army.

The figure also has the early web gear on so updating it might be problematic, I think he's wearing ALICE pattern kit with SAW mag pouches, the new kit is of the Mollie type.
