mungo1974 Posted December 17, 2019 Share Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) Picked this kit up quite cheap off Ebay Thinking of doing a post war USAF or ANG Mustang,but will need to make afew changes to the kit depending on which of the 3 i've shortlisted. #1 Nellis AFB using a corrected IPMS decal sheet #2 Air National Guard units activated for duty to cover Keflavik,Iceland from the Soviets during the Korean war..with red Arctic wings & tail #3 37th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron at Burlington Airport, Vermont. Biggles87 Posted January 13, 2020 Share Posted January 13, 2020 Hoping to see some results soon. I just thought I’d let you know of a slight pitfall I’ve found while building mine. The fuselage radiator rear face, part B21 will fit either way up and should fit with the radiator frame visible at the top, below the roof of the duct. Also the instructions would have you fit the tailwheel assembly before joining the fuselage halves but I intend to remove the ‘ snap fit ‘ elements of the assembly so that I can leave it off until immediately before painting to minimise the risk of knocking off the fairly fragile leg.
