Not the most productive year, but I had a couple of bumps in the road along the way... which are thankfully behind me now. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

Nice collection, Matt. More than I've managed this year!

A lovely selection of models you don't see that often. The Bugatti in particular is very impressive, as is the painting on the owl.

Nice, even more impressive after building a couple of the airfix cars you deserve extra credit on the flawless finish 👍

Very nice cars there & I especially like your Bugatti. Nice reference for when I make an attempt to start mine. Looks to build up rather nicely.

What did you use to spruce up your wheels on it?

Also I've never seen a kit of the Lamborghini Silhouette, I would leap at the chance to build an Espada or an Urraco if anyone makes one.

Thanks, Martin... the Bugatti wheels are done with an etched set in 1/25 from Detail Master in the US. They’re meant for a style of 50s hot rod wheels, but they are the only wires I’ve found with pure radial spoke that don’t cross, and they happen to be the right diameter.

There’s an Urraco kit from the same people as the Silhouette, so you can find it in Gunze, Airfix or Eidei/Grip boxes. If you look really closely in the Silhouette cockpit, just behind the gear lever, there’s an engraved “Urraco” script, so I guess the cockpit is one of several pieces shared by the two kits...

best,

M.

I keep coming to the comments section, then going back and looking at the models again.  Superb collection Matt.
