Hi Alan,

 

The way I tackle it is by scraping the inside of the canopy frame so that it sits correctly over the opening. Not very scientific and not perfect results, but looks reasonably decent when done.

I tried that but then could not get the canopy to stay stuck to the frame. I'll have to try again.

Alan, on the couple I have built, I look for something of similar cross section to the rear fuselage where the canopy sits when open, normally a ball point pen, wrap a piece of fine wet & dry paper around it & then rub away the inside of the lower canopy frame till it fits OK. I secure it with Hypo glue.

I like the late scheme on this. Nice to see something different, she looks good. Didn't know these were in service so long.
