Enzo the Magnificent
Okay, let's give this one a go! I'm going to build the Tamiya T-55a, straight out of the box (sort of) It looks like a typical Tamiya kit. Look at all that tamiyary goodness! Here's the "sort of" bit.
PlaStix
Great to have you taking part Enzo. Your kit is pretty much the same as mine so hopefully you will have as much fun!! Looking forward to seeing it in progress. Kind regards, Stix

It's always difficult to document a kit like this properly. There are no issues with it! It's just a lot of fun to build!

In fact I think it would be the ideal introduction to armour modelling for a newbie.
Jabba
A good start, and this kit certainly looks a lot simpler and easier to build than the Takom one.
Enzo the Magnificent
Main assembly complete. Primed with grey plastic car primer from a rattle can.

PlaStix
Fantastic progress Enzo. It certainly looks good under it's coat of primer. Kind regards, Stix
modelling minion
Frighteningly quick! Certainly puts me to shame and looks good too.
Enzo the Magnificent
I then sprayed it with Tamiya XF-61 and highlighted with Tamiya XF-058. I then added the gun and canvas mantlet cover. the cover was painted and drybrushed with whatever nondescript drab colours I could find. The green also had a bit more highlighting with Lifecolor UA-238 Soviet Dark Olive, which has a nice grey tinge to it. A couple of thin coats of clear lacquer from a rattle can and it's time for the decals. That gun barrel is a bit too bright. Good job its not glued in yet. I'll have to do something about it.

And to have an Enzo Matrix build in the Gallery of a GB before the last day....if not the last hour of a GB.....must be first? 😜 Kind regards, Stix
