Spitfire Mk Vc MA863

Well, it's a nice Vc, but I make no excuses for how it has been finished. According to what I have read, it is an ex-RAAF Vc, serial number A58-246 from No, 54 Squadron. They got the intensifier gun heating tubes right, but need to air up the tires, methinks! Painted in the markings of a 31st FG MTO Spitfire. I don't know if it's the lighting, but the green around the nose doesn't look like the green on the rest of the airplane.

Fluorescent lights are the bane of photographers worldwide. Like Gollum referencing Bagginsssss, we hates them, we hates them forever!

That said, a Mk.1 eyeball inspection would be required to make a fair judgement either way.
