Useful comparison of the two kits, and other ways to an acceptably accurate Spitfire XII in 1/48 here: I made mine many years ago grafting a Falcon conversion onto a Hasegawa V, and I think it looks better than either of the two subsequent kits, even though it's far from perfect in itself.
