Very interesting Also a great subject, my maternal grandfather (ex WW1 RNVR) was at Dunkirk aboard a ship requisitioned from the dockyard he worked at through WW2 in Woolwich. My grandmother kept the telegram she received in her purse all her life, I have it in the desk here now. It just says "You husband will be away for a few days...."
