Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v WRC 1991 San Remo 1/8

Recommended Posts

2/3

-  I painted in black the absent rubbertrim of mudguard turn light

- I applied with bare metal the reflector on bumber turn signals (photo with and without)

- I modified the whole system of headlights fixing to correct various unwatchable errors: lights too far back, headlight fairing too advanced, headlight fairing is too protruding respect to the mudguard (it is actually retracted). I Thickened headlights on the central support, I sawed the supports of the fairings to reach a correct shape.

- I added PE screws on front plate fixed on the right door trim, some light wheatering both on the panel and also on the lower side door

- I black piant the missing detail on the TK extra bonnet light.

- I made light wheatering on chassis , inside of the front fenders and inside of the trunk

- I corrected other error on roof air intake: the vents were mistakenly painted in aluminum, on real car they are black plastic (I think the same of Fiat Ritmo). I Repainted in black and added connection for fuel vapour hose.

- I black painted the hood hinges that would otherwise be visible from the radiator grille

- I definitively  fitted the selfmade taillights redone.... which now are quite similar to delta lights and not the unwatchable headlights with the led holder

- I definitively fitted the TK extra bonnet lights with the addition of metal clamps (as on 1: 1 true) to support the weight of the headlight itself

- I little detail  on the pinion of  wiper arms.

- A little detail on the emergency buttons at the base of the windshield

- I definitively fitted roof air intake lid

- I final detail with PE boltsthe headlight fairings and I add some rivets on the rear license plate

- final check for the correct closing and alignment of the doors

What a great result! I particularly like the look of the inside of the doors, they show great realism.

Frah2o - While your status in the forum is "New Member", I would suggest a change to "Obsessed" to "Very Obsessed" (with compliments).  The detail in your work is outstanding and the volume of completed assemblies equally so.  And I love the Martini livery.  As always, fine fine work!

Amazing thing on rallies; doesn't matter how filthy it had got on the way round, always clean on the finish ramp - sponsor pleasing?

I think to reach this dirty look ( more light than  a Montecarlo stage)

This is Sanremo

This, more dirty (that i,ve done on mine) is Monte 91 as just finished the stage

Final applying of decals and  final details to arrive in the end of this project.

Today I’ll made the final pics of this Delta:  alone and with my Montecarlo, than I start to package for come back on his owner

- I applied the Martini SanRemo livery 1991

- the rear mud flaps are slightly detailed with added aluminum plates to simulate the mud flap brackets

- I modified front tow hooks painted in titatinium gold

- I made decal lamination for the drivers table and final position on inside of rear right window

 - final detail on the tires (AS, AD, PS, PD)

- I final light dirty post stage

Awesome!  Really beautiful work!

One comment, and not directly related to the model, as Codger has pointed out on other posts, a simple white (or mono-color) background enhances the star of the photo, the car.  The car is spot on!

On most rallies I attend the cars are given a quick dry wash in service or on Wales Rally GB there is a designated wash off area where all cars are power washed before entering service .

Simply stunning, superlative work!!  I so appreciate your attention to detail regarding the original car.  It brings back an accurate history of the car, and I'm sure the client is displaying this proudly!  Fantastic job on the weathering, my hat is off to you!!
