mackem01
A moment of your time chaps and chapesses - can anyone tell me the roundel sizes used on RAF F86's please. Thanks for your indulgence.
Giorgio N
I have some slightly conflicting information... one source states 27" on the fuselage, 30" on the upper wing surfaces and 18" on the lower wings The other states 30" on both fuselage and upper wings and 18" for the lower wings, I'll see if I can find anything confirming if fuselage roundels were 27" or 30"
mackem01
Ooh and just one other thing. Did RAF Sabres have those fancy re leather headrest too? Pictures I've seen are pretty non- conclusive.
Wez
Red vynil is what I think it was. Modeldecal normally quoted dark-grey for RAF aircraft not red. Cockpits and seat were black, not grey. Edited December 3, 2019 by Wez
Dave Fleming
Colour photos confirm what Wez says - black/dark grey
